The Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG) has acquired Cornish Fixings (Redruth), continuing the group’s strategy of developing its divisions through a combination of acquisitions, new site developments and organic growth.
The development strategically strengthens IBMG’s south west division, extending RGB’s presence in Cornwall and providing a strong platform for further growth across the Redruth area.
This partnership resolves future succession for Cornish Fixings Company (CFC) and secures the right custodian for the business – one with a shared vision and values. CFC will join RGB and its owner Jon Sawyer will continue with the business, working with Andy Gamble and Kevin Fenlon, RGB’s managing director and chief executive respectively.
