Russell Roof Tiles has invested £900,000 in a fleet of electric forklift trucks after extensive trials proved the vehicles reduced emissions and provided a more efficient outlet for the electricity generated at the manufacturer’s sites.
This investment comes as part of the company’s wider sustainability mission, falling in line with its Net Zero 2040 pledge.
Linde Material Handling’s was selected to provide its X Range electric trucks after months of extensive market research and trialling of different electric forklift models to find an eco-friendly option that was easy to handle and efficient for the team.
The new Linde forklifts, set to arrive later this year, will be used across all three sites to enhance performance and stop harmful CO2 levels being produced into the air, as well as achieving long-term high productivity levels.
