MKM Building Supplies has signed a deal as the first independent builders’ merchant to partner with Kingspan Insulation as its exclusive supplier of Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation.
The company says the Kingspan Therma range is extremely thermally efficient, making it the ideal material to help builders maximise the sustainability and energy efficiency of residential and commercial developments and the deal will enable MKM Building Supplies to create bespoke solutions for building projects of all types and sizes.
MKM Building Supplies said that it had discussions with a number of leading UK manufacturers, but Kingspan had come up with the most comprehensive offering.
Stephen Bennett, senior product manager at MKM Building Supplies, commented: “Kingspan came to us with the full package. They are a market leader with a premium brand and a premium product, but we have also negotiated a service package that really puts MKM customers at an advantage.
“We will stock a lot of the products in branch, but our arrangement with Kingspan means we have immediate access to a whole range of PIR products. Our ability to access these easily means we can get it to our customers efficiently and quickly outperforming other builders’ merchant.”
