Builders merchant MKM has opened a new branch in Eastleigh, bringing the total number of branches to 115 nationwide.
MKM Eastleigh, located on the town’s Woodside Road, combines a trade counter with stunning kitchen, bathroom and landscaping displays, providing a complete offering for trade and retail customers across the region.
Creating 24 new jobs in the area, the branch also provides an extensive range of building materials, plumbing and heating, timber, landscaping, joinery and more.
Previous World No. 1 darts player Bob Anderson was guest of honour for the launch. The local legend challenged branch staff and customers alike in a bullseye competition, with a host of prizes up for grabs.
Mike Creagh, one of the branch directors, said: “At MKM Eastleigh, our aim is to build long-term relationships with our customers, provide best-in-class customer service, and create a great working environment for our brilliant branch team.
“We’re looking forward to working closely with our customer base of tradespeople and homeowners across Eastleigh, offering them the wealth of experience and superb skills our team can provide.”
Paul Andrews, the other branch director, added: “As an independent builder’s merchant, MKM offers a unique option to customers, allowing for the support that best meets their individual needs.
“MKM Eastleigh is no different – every member of our team is an expert in their chosen area, which gives us the ability to offer an unrivalled level of service, as well as being able to forge our own path as a business.”
Also in attendance to celebrate and cement their new charity partnership with MKM Eastleigh were Sally Randall and David Fawcett from local charity Abby’s Heroes. The new branch has pledged its ongoing support to Abby’s Heroes, with an initial donation of £1,600 which includes funds raised at the branches VIP night pre-opening.
