The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) has been shortlisted in both the ‘Crisis Management—Covid Member Support’ and ‘Event of the Year’ categories at the Trade Association Forum’s (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2022.
The Awards are supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and recognise excellence, innovation and best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK
Commenting on the announcement, James Talman, chief executive of the NFRC, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for two Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards for our Covid response and the 2021 UK Roofing Awards. This is a testament to all of the hard work everyone at NFRC has put into supporting members.
“Throughout the pandemic, we have made it our mission to help members and the wider roofing industry in whatever way we can — from calling every single member at the start of the first lockdown, providing regular updates through our Covid Hub, or taking government guidance and making it applicable to our industry.”
He concluded: “The 2021 UK Roofing Awards were the largest ever with over 1000 in attendance. The event incorporated the winners of the 2020 Awards through a dedicated video by broadcast TV editor and producer Dave Packham. The feedback from attendees of the event has been extremely positive.”
Emily Wallace, interim chief executive of the TAF, added: “Trade associations including NFRC have played an absolutely critical role in supporting the UK economy throughout the turbulence of the last two years. As we move forward, it is right to celebrate the achievements of the sector, recognise excellence and collaborate to improve the role that Associations can continue to play to support the Economy for the future.”
