Recticel has been praised by Rob Flello MP for its continued development efforts when he visited the company’s facility in Stoke on Trent.
The MP for Stoke on Trent South formally recognised that Recticel has continued to invest in its UK manufacturing operation, developing the company’s workforce and product portfolio.
He made the statement while visiting Recticel’s 175,000ft2 facility in Stoke on Trent on Thursday August 21, where he was hosted by Kevin Bohea, commercial director for Recticel, and plant manager, Simon Harrison.
He spent time learning about the company’s development and its recent multi-million pound investment in the plant, which included the creation of a new production line that is now fully operational. The investment also led to the creation of 30 new jobs for local people since the beginning of 2015.
A presentation by Mr. Bohea also detailed how the company’s research and development programme has produced new products to assist with better-performing homes being built within existing footprints, while helping to reduce energy costs for the homeowner without the need to use costly or high-maintenance renewables on a new build.
Following the visit, Mr. Bohea said: “It is always a pleasure to welcome politicians to our facility. We openly welcome the opportunity to engage, help and advise on how the UK can achieve energy and carbon reduction goals by building better with a ‘fabric first’ approach.”
