SIG repeats support for foodbank initiative

SIG has announced it will be repeating its support for the Morrisons Supermarket Foodbank campaign this winter.

Forty-nine strategically placed branches nationwide from the SIG UK Roofing, SIG Interiors, and SIG Specialist Market divisions are participating, alongside two full shopping trolleys of items from the SIG head office team based in Sheffield.

Each branch will collaborate closely with their local Morrison Community Champions by the end of November to understand what their local food banks require to address their specific needs, ensuring that these efforts will have the greatest possible impact.

Additionally, Morrisons has agreed to provide a 10% discount on all products purchased by SIG, allowing each pound donated to stretch even further.

The branch staff will, therefore, soon be busy creating tailored shopping lists and visiting Morrisons Supermarkets to fill their trollies with items that will be delivered by the Morrisons community team to local food banks before the festivities begin.

Clare Hoskins, marketing manager at SIG Roofing and SIG Group CSR committee member, said: “Everyone at SIG supported this great initiative last year and was eager to repeat it this December. We want to make a real difference for families in need during the festive season, which can be challenging. We hope this initiative will positively impact many families.”
