Silva Timber Products has invested heavily in a new showroom to exhibit its growing range of products to consumers and corporate customers.
The facility at Silva Timber Products’ headquarters in Widnes, Cheshire, has taken six months to develop and features dozens of products displayed in a gallery format; a 50-inch TV screen for educational videos; computers for customers to use when placing orders and browsing Silva’s website; and books containing case studies and images showing how the firm’s products are used.
Silva staff are on hand to provide design and technical advice and visitors can also take away samples to help them decide which timber is best for their project.
Silva imports speciality, sustainably-sourced timbers from around the world for use in a range of applications, including cladding, roofing shingles and shakes. The firm’s customers include architects, garden designers, landscapers, shop-fitters, house builders, contractors and people building their own homes.
Nick said: “Speciality timbers are becoming increasingly popular as a means of making projects stand out, and we understand that our customers sometimes want to see more than just an image or small sample of the timber they are looking to use.
“We have therefore custom-built the ideal environment where they can come and see, touch and envelop themselves in our full product range.
“With large format samples and our team of experts on hand to guide visitors through the products, finishes and maintenance requirements, our new showroom will make it easier for the general public and people from the trades to choose the right products for their projects.”
The showroom is the latest major investment for Silva this year, following measures to upgrade its warehouse and software systems, as well as expanding its vehicle fleet.
