SR Timber has unveiled its new website after listening to feedback from its customers.
The newly designed website features photography on the homepage and has been developed so that it is smartphone friendly. However, the biggest change has been the navigation of the website in a bid to make it quicker and easier for visitors to access key information – such as its library of downloadable information, including product guides, specifications and datasheets.
Shaun Revill, trading director, said: “Websites are the public face of most companies, ours included, and businesses in this day and age can’t afford to stand still, so it was important that we refreshed the look of the site and the improved the experience of using it.
“We’ve had really good feedback from the people who have used it, and they especially like it when they access it from their smartphone or tablet.”
The website features SR Timber’s full product range. The downloads section features product brochures, datasheets for each of its products, accreditation documents – such as FSC and PEFC certification – specifications and frequently asked questions.
The most downloaded document remains the company’s Guide to Graded Roofing Battens.
“As the UK’s first choice for roofing battens, we get a lot of enquiries about it, and the guide serves as a useful reminder document about how our batten complies with BS5534,” said Shaun.
“It gives great examples of what is and isn’t acceptable – such as the rules on the size of knots in timber, the slope of the grain and the wane. There’s also a reminder to look out for the 4S’s that should be clearly marked on each length of batten: standard, size, supplier and species.”
