The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has announced the appointment of Alex Clifford as regional manager for London and the South East and Tony France as the supplier advisor to its board.
Mr Clifford has over 30 years’ experience in the building materials industry, most recently as business development director for Polypipe, prior to which he held sales and contract management roles with Travis Perkins and John Guest.
Mr France, whom is sales director of Ibstock Brick, has worked in the brick industry for over 30 years and has held positions dedicated to serving the builders merchants sector for over 20 of them.
He attended his first BMF Conference in 1994 and has represented his company at BMF regional meetings, supplier member meetings and bricks and blocks committee meetings since that time.
Mr France, who will attend his first board meeting in July, replaces Charles Ledigo, who was elected as a full board member in April.
