Avonside Group has announced changes to its board line up.

In announcing the changes, Eddie Stanton, chief executive officer of Avonside Group, said: “We are living through some of the most challenging conditions in decades, but having successfully negotiated the initial issues around the COVID-19 crisis, Avonside Group is now clearly focussed upon its future plans for growth.

As part of our plans, I am delighted to announce a further strengthening of our board, and to be able to promote some of our most able managers.”

As part of a re-shaped executive, Simon Smith, currently group commercial director, will move to the role of group procurement director to continue his increased focus in this critical area.

Simon brings a wealth of experience and strong contact network to the key role.

Chris Firth, who is currently ROD eastern region will take up the position of group commercial director in another critical appointment to the Group’s long-term strategy to reinforce its client facing approach.

In a further development, Adam Pearson joins the board in his capacity as ROD western region. Adam joined the Avonside Group four years ago as part of the SM Roofing acquisition, and since then he has been a consistently outstanding performer and an advocate of industry leading performance delivery.

Tony Burke, executive chairman of Avonside Group, said: “These changes to our board demonstrate our absolute commitment to the ongoing development of our group, and also shows the depth of talent we have in all areas of our business.”
