Flex-R has made another key addition to its growing team with the appointment of Sunny Lotay as regional specification manager.
Sunny joins the company, which has its sights set on continued growth after recently being Highly Commended at the SPRA (Single Ply Roofing Association) Awards 2019.
He brings more than 13 years’ experience to the role, in which he will work alongside specifiers, architects, facilities management companies and architectural technologists to increase the number of projects where Flex-R’s range of specialist products, such as RubberBond FleeceBack single ply, Enduris and LQD-R, are specified.
Sunny will cover the central region – which extends from Wales across to Lincolnshire – of the UK and says that he’s looking forward to getting in touch with existing contacts and targeting new ones to forge strong working relationships.
“I’m not really an office person: I much prefer getting out, meeting people and talking about roofing projects, and I’m very excited about the products that Flex-R offers because they are really gathering momentum in the UK market,” he said.
“Flex-R is building up a great portfolio of projects where its products are used – from the famous Nobu hotel in London to Leigh Spinners Mill, which was commended at the SPRA Awards. This shows the breadth of applications of EPDM and new silicone liquid-coating products such as GE Enduris, which Flex-R recently launched.
“I feel I’m joining Flex-R at a very exciting time, and I’m looking forward to being part of a team of Regional Specification Managers who cover the North and South of the country.”
Flex-R’s national sales manager Danny Cole has welcomed Sunny’s appointment and the experience he brings to the role.
“Sunny has worked on some very impressive and high-profile projects, such as the most famous department store in London, so he brings a lot to the Flex-R table and will be a great addition to the team,” said Danny.
“As well as dealing directly with specifiers, architects, facilities management companies and architectural technologists, he will work with our Specialist Registered Installers (SRIs), who may need additional resources to tender for projects where a greater level of specification may be required.”
