Langley has announced four significant appointments that it says are in line with its ambitious growth strategy to further strengthen its position in the UK market.

Ray Horwood CBE and Anne Hubble join the company as non-executive director and group finance director, respectively, and Dean Wincott and Michael Smith join Langley Waterproofing Systems as sales and marketing director and head of technical, respectively.

These appointments signal changes across the sales & marketing, finance and technical sides of the business bringing more than 120 years combined experience to the company as it continues to grow and expand its services across the UK.

Ray Horwood CBE joins as an ambassador and advisor to the company, taking a position on the board as a non-executive director. An ex-RAF senior officer, Ray is better known in the industry as the recent CEO of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, where he supported roofing companies throughout the UK, and as the CEO of CompetentRoofer.

Sitting on the board in a new position for the company, Anne Hubble joins as group finance director where she will head up both the HR and Accounts teams, bringing what the company describes as a demonstrable track record of driving growth within SMEs and large businesses.

Dean Wincott has been appointed as Langley Waterproofing Systems’ sales and marketing director – a role to which he brings more than 25 years’ sales experience, including specialising in maintenance, refurbishment and new build schemes at Apollo Group.

And finally, as the newly appointed head of technical for Langley Waterproofing Systems, Michael Smith will work alongside John Austine, technical director for Langley, to support and enhance the company’s technical customer service strategy. The company says that with more than 20 years’ experience, Michael specialises in the contracting side of the roofing industry and brings valuable knowledge of the operational elements of roofing to Langley’s technical team.

Tony Silvestri, managing director of Langley, commented: “Over the past 12 months we have seen steady growth and these new appointments show Langley’s continual commitment to optimising its future by creating solid depth and foundations.

“Our focus is firmly on quality and service, something which is reflected in the calibre of our new appointments. These new additions bring a wealth of experience that will ensure Langley continues to deliver a first class service for its contractors, stakeholders and clients alike.”
