Over the past 12 months, RoofCERT has been working on a CITB-funded project with the objective of providing a 'proof of concept' for an accreditation scheme that has the ability to significantly reduce industry failure rates on inspections by improving quality.  

Six online courses offered by the Institute of Roofing have been recognised as part of the NFRC’s RoofCERT accreditation programme. Independently certified by leading bodies, the courses include Abrasive Wheels, Fire Safety, Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and Fire Marshal.

This year’s BMI Apprentice of the Year competition opens on 1 September and welcomes all those recognised as an apprentice by their employer, or those working towards qualified status.
