WinR webinar: Wellbeing and mental health

The second in a series of webinars from the Women in Roofing (WinR) group will be taking place on Thursday 18 June at 15:00pm until 16.30pm.

‘Wellbeing and mental health’ will focus on how people are managing their mental health and wellbeing during lockdown and beyond.

It will explore the challenges during and post lockdown of balancing family, home-schooling and work, as well as those colleagues who have been furloughed, and what companies can put in place to provide continuous and consistent support for their members of staff.

The webinar will also be exploring the three key areas that are covered in the ‘CIOB Understanding Mental Health in the Built Environment’ report, which was released in May 2020, and what practical solutions employers can adopt in their businesses.

Key issues discussed will include:

  • How prevalent is poor mental health in the industry?
  • What factors are causing people stress, and at which job level does this most frequently occur?
  • What is the industry doing to promote good mental health and wellbeing within its workforce?

Chairing the ‘Wellbeing and mental health’ webinar will be Richard Stone, a speaker / blogger and managing director of Stone Contracts, whilst on the panel will be: Kris Keast, chair of the CIOB diversity special interest group, Keira Proctor, managing director of A.Proctor Group, Kate Whatley, commercial director of SPV Group, and Dean Wincott, managing director of Langley Waterproofing Systems and Kevin Parr, managing director of PGS Team.

If you missed the first WinR webinar entitled: ‘Planning for the new normal: Site rules, communication, and collaboration’, then don’t fear as you can read what was discussed here.
