Alex McLeod, who has been appointed to the role of CEO of Miller Pattison, has more than ten years of experience in the insulation industry and he joins the firm from his previous role as a CEO of a manufacturing company supplying roofing and flooring products to the new- build housing market. Before then, he was the CEO at the UK’s only independent manufacturer of glass mineral wool insulation.
Alex said: “I’m delighted to join Miller Pattison at such an exciting time for the business and will be working to sustain the momentum that the team has created.”
Mike Dyson, who is retiring after two years, will remain on the company’s Board as a non-executive director, providing support to Alex. Having led the firm for more than two decades and retired in 2009, he returned to Miller Pattison in 2015 to lead a turnaround programme. The company completed an MBO in late 2015 and has since established a clear strategic direction, restructured the operating model and repositioned the business in the market – returning to profitable trading.
Mike added: “I feel the mission I set out to achieve when I returned to the business in 2015 is now complete. With the company generating excellent profit and a strong management team in place, I know it’s the right time for me to hand over leadership to someone who has got the same vision for the business. Alex’s strong business acumen, extensive industry background and excellent contacts, means Miller Pattison remains in safe hands and I can’t wait to see where he takes it from here.”
