Marley has appointed Kevin Taylor, author of Roof Tiling and Slating – A Practical Guide, as training and technical support manager.
Kevin gained his early expertise on the tools before entering further education as a lecturer both at Bolton College and Leeds College of Building, where his apprentices gained success in the National SkillBuild competition on several ocassions.
He subsequently worked at the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), heading up technical and training, whilst driving change to reduce roof failure as well as working on the extensive BS 5534 revision.
Commenting on his appointment, Kevin said: “I’m looking forward to working with Marley, it will be great to be part of a team again. Having worked in so many different areas of the industry over 40 years, I appreciate what’s needed to achieve a good quality roof – and that’s everyone working together.”
