Russell Roof Tiles has invested £90,000 into a Borche injection moulding machine to speed up its plastic manufacturing operation.
The £90,000 investment is the latest to join the fleet of Borche machinery purchases made by the manufacturer having proven to be reliable and versatile.
The latest investment will allow the company to increase efficiencies and is part of Russell Roof Tiles’ long term capital improvement plan to further enhance quality across the business, by utilising the latest innovations in manufacturing.
The production growth and company’s drive for efficiency across the Dry Fix product range has been spearheaded by Daniel Hancox, business support manager at Russell Roof Tiles.
Dan said: “There are two main factors we took into consideration before purchasing the new machinery and that’s its cost efficiency and eco-credentials. The new Borche machine can save between 20% and 80% of energy compared to a traditional hydraulic system.
“It’s a great piece of machinery that aligns with our sustainability and Net Zero goal as it helps to reduce our carbon footprint. We’re delighted with the performance of the machine and expect that Borche will continue to be part of our future plans.”
