CIGA welcomes new head of customer service

Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency (CIGA) has today confirmed the appointment of Ola Taiwo as its new head of customer service

Ola will be responsible for building on the work already spearheaded by Teresa Perchard, CIGA’s independent consumer champion, bolstering how the organisation works for consumers. He will be tasked with ensuring that CIGA’s customers continue to receive the highest quality of service and that queries concerning cavity wall insulation are dealt with in a responsive and effective way.

With over ten years’ experience of working in customer services Ola is well placed to take the lead on CIGA’s customer relations.

CIGA, set up to protect consumers with a uniform Guarantee where the defect is with workmanship or materials, says it has recognised that there has been a small number of isolated occasions where customer service levels have not been satisfactory.

With the appointment of a new head of customer service, CIGA is reinforcing its commitment to protect its customers and maintain high industry standards for cavity wall insulation.

Gerry Miller, chief executive of CIGA, said: “There is no doubt that Ola’s professional background and extensive experience in customer relations makes him an ideal candidate to continue our work bolstering our service to consumers. Our customers deserve to have comfort in the knowledge that their questions and concerns will be addressed with appropriate haste, and Ola has the skill-set to ensure this is always the case.

“Hiring a head of customer service is part of a wider push already well underway by CIGA to make the organisation more responsive to consumers, improve transparency, and ensure that no consumers feel let down.”

Ola Taiwo said: “I am delighted to have been asked to join CIGA as head of customer service. My appointment sends a signal to consumers that CIGA takes its commitment to protecting customers very seriously indeed. In my new role my priority will be working towards customer satisfaction across the board when it comes to dealing with and resolving concerns.”
